Oh did I offend her royal prissy-ness?

So for tonight’s movie review I went ahead and did a TV series. It’s a short, but memorable one. For those of you who were too young to remember the Super Mario Brother Super Show, you probably don’t know that The Legend of Zelda had it’s own spot every Friday. Although SMBSS was only two seasons making TLOZ very short. Although it is apparent that a third season would have most likely have the ending to TLOZ we have a cliffhanger ending in TLOZ.

Video Quality 9/9 Dango Bites

You got to remember that this is a 80′s kid show. The quality of the show is actually pretty good for it’s time. Although there is one apparent blunder in the Doppelganger episode where you hear Zelda’s voice, but Link’s lips are moving. Yet with how he was mocking her the entire episode… It makes you wonder if it’s on purpose.

Storyline 9/9 Dango Bites

Well this takes place after Zelda II, the back story is Link after saving Hyrule again is asked to come protect the castle and in return he gets a place to sleep and food. Pretty good deal for a wandering hero. Although the overuse of Link’s catchphrase is sometimes annoying more then funny. You still got to give it to Link for trying. “Well Excuuuuuuuuse me princess!”

Sound Quality 9/9

I’ll give them credit they did a good job with the music, although I do have to say that they overplay certain themes… Especially when you first load the DVD. (On vhs this isn’t an issue)

Overall it’s a must see especially if you have kids at home. My only grief was the box set… I feel as though the dvd will snap if I remove them.

Time’s Up

A young man from a Sicilian family was first to graduate school. His family proud threw him a grand banquet. The Patriarch who rarely speaks says “Grandson please come here… I have a gift for you.”  The grandson gets up and walk to his grandfather. “Son we are proud of your achievement and for being the first to graduate school… Harvard… I got you this gift.” He reaches under the table and pulls out a beautiful hand carved mahogany box. Inside the box is a sterling silver double barrel shotgun. On the box in 14 carrot gold had his name, birth date and year of graduation. Not sure what to do with a shot gun the grandson thanks his grandfather.

Later that night his best friend calls him and says “hey, I also was the first to graduate collage and my parents bought me a 24 carrot gold Rolex watch with diamonds encrusted in it. What did you get?” Reluctantly he replies “a shotgun” Excited  is best friend says i’ll be there in five minutes. When he arrives he shows him the shotgun, beautiful and glossy. He says “hey since you don’t like the shot gun and I have plenty of watches why don’t we trade?”

The Sicilian family is sitting down for dinner. The grandfather notices that the grandson has been acting strange. “Son” he says “would you please come over here?” The grandson nervous walks over to his grandfather. “Bambino what’s the matter?” The grandson knows he let his grandfather down says “I traded your gift for this watch.” The grandfather looks at him and says. “Son” “I’m sorry” “wait do not interrupt me” “but I feel so ba.” “No, let me speak.” “but granfa” “one more word from you I will smack you atop your head… Now as I was saying one day you will get married to your sweet heart. You will have beautiful bambinos of your own. You will work hard long hours only to get promoted to the top… One day you will come home to your wife in bed with your best friend… What will you do… say time’s up?”

Yeah that was a long one, but well worth it. Movie review coming tomorrow. Yes I’ve seen it before, but it’s been too long so time for a refresher course.

Ladies and gentle-newbs, welcome to the first post of Seeker of the Missing Link. For years I’ve been helping contribute with other forums and had my own Capains Corner with Capain Johnny Rebel and friends. Dink and Linker have been a great help and a lot of fun over the years, but it’s time I begin to branch out into our great cyber world. Yes I will continue to support them as they move forward and hope that they continue being awesome. Now I’ve been invited to a tech-talk blog known as OverTopic.

Now I’ll continue being everyone’s favorite ranter, but now you will here me in more then one view. Here at SOTML I am going to keep my focus primarily Zelda bsed, but my rants as always will be on just about anything.hank you to all those who have supported me since my debut in 2003. Dinker and Linker, Exploding Deku Nut, and all the other affiliates. I would be very bored without you guys!
